The 2019 UK IT contracting market

London IT ContractingDue to current economic conditions, the UK IT contracting market has grown to just over 50% of the overall IT job market.

Brexit presents many opportunity for non-EU international jobseekers. With many EU workers leaving, there is a shortage of supply and foreign techies are in a great position to find work, and this is set to continue. UK IT contractors earning £500+ per day have increased to 42% of the market.

This spring, there is currently high demand for IT professionals with at least two years experience in a variety of roles. UK IT contractors currently in high demand (as of Jan 2019) are: Developers/Programmers such as .Net Developers, Java Developers and C# Developers, Cyber Security Experts, Infrastructure Engineers, Database Administrators, Business Analysts, and Test Analysts with automation experience.
